All about Shadow Puppets, Screens and Animation Techniques.

I can teach you individually or in a workshop.
What are the steps you need to take when planning to work with shadow puppets? What functions will the puppets have in your show? These questions must be answered before you begin building.
Once you understand what the puppets need to do – their actions on stage – you can decide whether they require articulated bodies. If they do, you need to determine where to place the points of articulation in the puppet's body.
Will your puppets be individual figures or a group of several figures? How do you construct such puppets? What types of rods are available, and how many rods does each puppet need?
Which animation techniques are best suited to your work?
And much more...

My experience with Shadow Theater goes back to the early 1970s, when I was a member of Transparencias, a company directed by Beppi Kraus de Newberry, based at the Collegium Musicum Music Academy in Buenos Aires.
Since then, shadow theater has been an integral part of my artistic work and teaching.
